Trim your wick to one quarter inch before every single burn. This keeps the flame clean and prevents soot from building up on the jar.
On your first burn let it burn long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt from edge to edge. This is called a full melt pool and it usually takes about one hour per inch of jar diameter. Skipping this step can cause tunneling which wastes wax and shortens your burn time.
Never burn longer than four hours at a time. Let the candle cool completely before you relight it.
Keep it away from drafts, fans, and open windows. Moving air disrupts the flame and reduces your scent throw.
